Data Deletion Instructions

At POSLY, we respect your right to control your data. This page explains how to delete your data from POSLY, including how to disconnect your Instagram, LinkedIn, and X (Twitter) connections, and how to permanently delete your account.

1. Disconnect Social Accounts

If you want to remove POSLY's access to your Instagram, LinkedIn, or X (Twitter) account without deleting your POSLY account:

Option A: Disconnect from POSLY Settings

  1. Log in to your POSLY account at poslyapp.com/login
  2. Navigate to Settings → Integrations
  3. Find the Instagram, LinkedIn, or X connection you want to remove
  4. Click the "Disconnect" button
  5. Confirm the disconnection when prompted

What gets deleted: Your access token, Instagram Account ID, Facebook Page ID, and connection metadata are immediately removed from our database. You can reconnect at any time.

Option B: Revoke Access from Facebook

  1. Go to Facebook Settings: facebook.com/settings
  2. Click on "Apps and Websites"
  3. Find "POSLY" in the list
  4. Click "Remove" to revoke access

Note: This revokes POSLY's access immediately, but connection data remains in our database until you disconnect from POSLY Settings or delete your account.

2. Request a Copy of Your Data

Before deleting your account, you can request a copy of all your data:

  1. Log in to your POSLY account
  2. Navigate to Settings → Profile
  3. Scroll to the "Data Export" section
  4. Click "Request Data Export"
  5. You will receive an email with a download link within 24-48 hours

Your data export includes: profile information, carousels, templates, publishing logs, and connection metadata (but not access tokens for security reasons).

3. Delete Your POSLY Account

To permanently delete your POSLY account and all associated data:

  1. Log in to your POSLY account
  2. Navigate to Settings → Security
  3. Scroll to the "Delete Account" section
  4. Click "Delete My Account"
  5. Confirm deletion by typing your email address
  6. Click "Permanently Delete"

This action is irreversible

Once deleted, your account cannot be recovered. All your carousels, templates, and data will be permanently removed within 30 days.

4. What Gets Deleted

When you delete your POSLY account, the following data is permanently removed:

Profile Data

  • Name, email address, username
  • Profile picture and bio
  • Account preferences and settings

Content Data

  • All carousels (drafts and published)
  • Custom templates
  • Uploaded images and assets

Connection Data (Instagram/Facebook/LinkedIn/X)

  • Access tokens (deleted immediately)
  • Instagram Account IDs and Facebook Page IDs
  • Connected account usernames
  • Connection timestamps and status

Usage Data

  • Publishing logs and history
  • Export activity
  • Session logs

Note: Some data may be retained for up to 90 days for legal, security, or compliance purposes (e.g., payment records, fraud prevention logs). However, this data is not accessible to you or used for any operational purposes.

5. Deletion Timeline

Immediate (0-24 hours)

Access tokens deleted immediately. Your account is disabled and you can no longer log in.

Within 7 days

Profile data, carousels, templates, and user-generated content deleted from active databases.

Within 30 days

All data permanently deleted from backups and archives (except legally required records).

4

Within 90 days

Compliance and security logs deleted. No data remains in our systems.

6. Content Already Published to Social Platforms

Important: Deleting your POSLY account or disconnecting a platform does not delete content that has already been published to your social accounts. Any carousels, posts, or tweets published through POSLY remain on your Instagram, LinkedIn, or X profile.

To delete content from your social platforms:

  1. Open the respective platform (Instagram, LinkedIn, or X)
  2. Navigate to your profile
  3. Find the post you want to delete
  4. Use the platform's delete option to remove it

POSLY has no access to delete posts from your social accounts. You retain full control over your published content.

8. Your Data Rights

Under applicable data protection laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.), you have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of your personal data
  • Rectification: Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Erasure: Request deletion of your data (Right to be Forgotten)
  • Portability: Receive your data in a machine-readable format
  • Restriction: Limit how we process your data
  • Object: Object to certain types of processing
